Groups are used to permanently assign a group of users together to one single selector on a VCP(VCOM Control Panel). This is useful when one user needs to talk to many without them having to have a listen selector selected. This also allows the user to talk back to the group as a whole from a single selector. In short, a simple one to many non-blocking communications path with only a single selector. This differs from a Party Line as the users who are assigned to a group do not have to have a listen turned on to be able to hear any communications on a certain group.
